Shipping a vehicle to Captiva

Captiva is the small island north of Sanibel, connected by a short bridge over Blind Pass, home to a handful of resorts, boutique shops and some of the area's most secluded beachfront homes. It's about fifty minutes from Cape Coral, requiring the full drive across the Sanibel Causeway and the length of Sanibel-Captiva Road. The island is narrow and low-density, with no traffic light and a single main road running its length. Winter brings the bulk of its visitor traffic.

Sanibel-Captiva Road narrows noticeably as it approaches the island, and the bridge over Blind Pass, along with the tight, tree-lined lanes around Andy Rosse Lane and the resort area, leave very little room for a full-size carrier. Most residential driveways on Captiva are short, sandy or shell-paved, and wooded lots often have low-hanging branches that rule out a tall rig entirely. Deliveries here are essentially always finished with a smaller shuttle vehicle or by driving the customer's car the final stretch, with the carrier parked well back on Sanibel-Captiva Road.

Can the carrier come inside Captiva?

Often yes. Where the association or the road width will not allow a full-size carrier, the driver stages nearby and we complete the last leg individually. There is no extra charge for that.
